Coordinating healthcare plans with the team, administering medications, as well as educating patients on their surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing Patient Assessment: Perform continuous evaluations of patient conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting clinical progress throughout the hospital stay.
- Patient & Family Education: Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to support recovery and long-term health.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team to monitor neurological status, cognitive and motor functions, sensory responses, and coordinate therapeutic interventions.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut and/or Massachusetts (depending of job site)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical or Acute Inpatient setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required)
- Full-time, Part-time hours
- Day & Night Shifts (12-hour shifts)
- Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation
